This listing of the Republican (GOP) and Democratic (DEM) party primaries for 2024 assumes you are already registered or don't mind registering for one of the two. (For those that do mind, please see For 3rd Party Voters.)
The column labelled "Your Potential Vote Impact (avg= 2.8)" is an estimate of, per state, how many more times impactful a vote in the primary could be compared to in the general election. It's an estimate based on 2020 turn out for each state. Since 66% of the electorate voted in 2020 general but only 24% voted in primaries, the average potential impact is nearly 3 because (66/24=2.8). Don't worry if you don't follow the math. The point is voting in primaries equals good for democracy.
